The OTHM Level 5 Diploma is a qualification approved and regulated by Ofqual under the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation and recognized by KHDA Dubai. It’s designed for individuals currently working in, or aspiring to, a teaching role within further education, adult learning, or workplace training.
Learners must achieve a minimum of 120 credits from the mandatory units in Group A and optional units in Group B. To complete the course successfully, learners must have access to 100 hours of teaching practice and complete a minimum of eight observations of practice, each lasting at least one hour.
This qualification helps learners gain understanding and skills needed to support others’ learning, explore areas directly relevant to their own teaching practice, and demonstrate competency in education and training management.
Eligibility Criteria for OTHM Level 5 Diploma
Age: Minimum 18 years
Education: Ideally a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a related field, along with relevant management or teaching experience.
English Proficiency: Learners must provide evidence of English language competency or originate from a majority English-speaking country.
Teaching Practice Access: Learners must have access to 100 hours of teaching practice in a real or simulated teaching environment.
